Sean established his professional planning practice in 2012 to leverage his now over 18 years experience in municipal policy, development approvals, transit infrastructure and communications to help public and private sector clients do great things. Inspiring Sean is a passion for cities and helping people, and opportunities to contribute to a larger legacy of lasting public good.

Sean has become a thought-leader in the urbanization of the suburban landscape, in particular; establishing and managing York Region’s Centres, Corridors + Subways Program, and currently conducting suburban governance research at the City Institute at York University as the Coordinator of the Greater Toronto Suburban Working Group.

Sean has a unique blend of abilities and proven experience that are at the intersection of a wide range of planning disciplines and sectors. Sean has the ability to integrate many services into projects, to best suit client needs; working independently or in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

In addition to leading projects in the areas of land-use planning, transportation and strategic communications, Sean is a contributor to urban affairs publications, a frequent speaker at conferences, and a guest lecturer and critic at universities.

Sean is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners, Ontario Professional Planners Institute, and the Canadian Urban Institute, and holds a Master in Environmental Studies degree from York University and an undergraduate degree in Urban Studies from the University of Windsor.
